HOW TUITION WORKS

Over the past 3 seasons, we have adapted to a full-year registration structure. We found that keeping the players together as a group for longer lengths of time serves in 3 major areas in developing our athletes:

1. PLAYER

Having the player involved for the full year allows the player the maximum number of touches, reps, and allowable hours with coaches to make the biggest impact on development.

2. COACH

Throughout the course of the year, coaches have the opportunity to work through the progressions with players to make the biggest impact on the individual player development and growth of the team.

3. TEAM

We firmly believe that the longer the players on a team play together the better the players develop as a group. With that being said we do offer the opportunity for all of our players to only play in the fall, spring, or summer seasons. We understand that life can be busy and as young athletes, players can be pulled in many directions throughout the year. We are a program that is built on athletes and do not discourage our players from playing in their other sports opportunities, especially when many other sports have great crossover language/skills that help develop our players at all age levels.

Financial Aid

Financial assistance is available, on a limited basis, to those who qualify. Every athlete who has a passion for his sport should be able to participate, regardless of their financial status. It is our goal at Houlagan Lacrosse to assist those individuals and families requiring financial assistance. Financial Aid is limited and need-based.

* Off-season skills can be registered for on an as-wanted basis.

**Payment Plan options will be available during registration

***Any players wishing to look at registrations on an A La Carte basis will be considered on an as-needed basis.

Tryouts / Team Selection Process
  • Tryouts for grade 3-11 select teams take place once a year in August at Seacoast United in Epping, NH.
  • If your child is selected, they will participate in a September - July club team program.
  • Although we do not have a grade 2 only club team option, some do “play up” in our grade 3 program. For those that are not in the club program, many participate in our leagues, camps and clinics.
  • To view a detailed outline of the club team program visit Travel Team Overview
  • In addition to select club programming, we offer seasonal clinics and leagues.
Are you looking for new players?
  • We are looking to select the best players. Your player will have a completely fair opportunity to make a Houlagan team.
  • If your player did not tryout the year before or was not in our program the year before, it will have zero impact on their chances of making a Houlagan roster.

Fall 2022 - Summer 2023 Teams

  • We look to have 2 teams per grade for both boys and girls.
  • We have teams from 2033 (Grade 2) to 2023 (Grade 12).
Tournament Team Assignment Process
  • Two teams will be selected after tryouts, GREEN (1st team) and CAROLINA (2nd team),
  • Players will compete with this team throughout the entire year.
  • We allow for team movement prior to the start of each session to allow for player growth.
  • Rather than select 24-26 players per team like other club programs, we select 38-42 players after tryouts and break into two tournament teams (GREEN & CAROLINA: 18-20 players per team).
  • Every player selected will be guaranteed all fall and summer tournaments.
  • We will offer additional "tournament alternate" spots to players that would jump in for tournaments for injuries or conflicts. "Tournament Alternates" will participate in all training.
  • What towns are represented on Houlagan club team rosters?
