Training Overview
Seacoast United Lacrosse offers year round training opportunities to lacrosse players in the seacoast area. Our primary goal is to offer the March to April players an opportunity to keep their game fresh. We encourage multiple sport athletes, but there is no reason a player can't keep his stick active in the off-season.
Box Lacrosse:
Seacoast United Houlagan Lacrosse introduces Box Lacrosse to the Seacoast! Practices and games are hosted at the Seacoast United Indoor Arena in Hampton, New Hampshire. Box Lacrosse will improve your game by working in a smaller space with less players on the field which means more touches!
Indoor Leagues:
Our leagues give players a chance to continue playing with their teams even when the traditional season ends. Indoor leagues allow our athletes to compete against the best competition in the area, while playing with their town team and building chemistry in the off-season. Extend your town or high school season with our summer 7v7 league or keep your stick fresh over the winter! Compete hard and have fun!
Skills Academy:
Our year-round Skills Academy clinics are unique in that each clinic will focus specifically on one or more fundamental lacrosse skills. Each skill will be broken down into a few basic (and coachable) elements, and then will be taught through explanation, demonstration, and drills. As we build from week to week, we recap what we have learned, introduce new skill elements, and play some “small-ball” to get the kids playing fast and smart.
Grassroots Learn2Lax:
In our grassroots Learn2Lax program, we teach the game of lacrosse in a fun and introductory setting. This is a great opportunity for younger players looking to grasp the main concepts of the sport, in an exciting, confidence-building environment! Only a stick is needed, no equipment required, just come ready to have some fun!
Perfomance Academy:
Performance Academies give high school athletes an opportunity to hone their offensive and defensive skills and to learn at a higher level, preparing them for the next level of lacrosse. Our Performance Academies include 1 hour of strength and performance training with the Exeter Athlete Performance Center, and one hour of advanced positional skills training.
Travel Teams:
Houlagan Lacrosse Select Travel Team is a year long program. We build our teams in the fall so that we have a cohesive, competitive team to bring to the summer tournaments. We respect and encourage our players’ decisions to continue in other sports. We do our best to be flexible when it comes to sport conflicts. However, a strong team can only be built with practice, camaraderie and commitment. This is why we encourage our teams to play and practice together throughout the entire year.
