This role is equal parts business development, community management, and youth sports leadership. If you love building relationships, growing a brand in a local market, and creating an experience that keeps families coming back — read on.
Houlagan Lacrosse has served the NH Seacoast for over 15 years — travel teams, positional clinics, goalie training, and indoor leagues, drawing players from over 14 high schools across NH, ME, and MA.
Our Girls Program Director recently departed. The infrastructure, facilities at Seacoast United Complexes, coaching staff, and family network are all in place. What we need now is a strong operator and relationship-builder who can run the business side of the program, grow enrollment through community outreach, and create an experience that families choose — and stay with — year after year.
- You're known by name at every town rec program, middle school, and high school in the Seacoast — coaches call you, not the other way around
- Parents on the sideline feel heard, informed, and excited about what their daughter is part of
- Coaches feel supported, valued, and energized — turnover drops and culture improves
- Enrollment grows season over season through relationship-driven outreach, not just advertising
- Families who left come back — and bring friends
- Build and maintain relationships with town rec leagues, middle schools, high school programs, and local colleges
- Own the family experience — from first inquiry through multi-year retention
- Manage seasonal operations: scheduling, registration, communications, and reporting
- Keep coaching staff engaged, organized, and accountable — you lead them, not necessarily coach alongside them
- Drive enrollment growth through outreach, events, and word-of-mouth
- Represent Houlagan Girls at tournaments, showcases, and community events
- You're a natural connector — you remember names, follow up without being asked, and people genuinely enjoy talking to you
- You have experience in business development, community outreach, sales, or program management — in sports or otherwise
- You understand youth sports culture well enough to earn the respect of coaches and parents
- You're organized, proactive, and can run multiple moving pieces without things falling through the cracks
- You're available immediately — summer begins in 30 days and families are waiting
